Bread Crumbs
Ingredients: yields 2 cups
4 oz bread (we prefer sourdough), cubed
Preheat oven to 300F and line a cookie sheet with a silpat. Place bread in a food processor and process for 30 seconds for coarse crumbs, 1 minute for fine crumbs, or until desired consistency. Pour crumbs onto prepared sheet and make an even layer. Bake in oven for about 15 minutes total, stirring the bread crumbs every 5 minutes to evenly dry out. Once slightly golden and dry, remove from oven and allow to rest for 10-15 minutes. If you’re wanting even finer crumbs, add them back to the food processor and process until desired. Store in an airtight container.
This is great for using up leftover bread!
